Tax Director

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Director to lead our tax strategy and compliance functions. This is a high-impact role for a tax professional with deep expertise in individual, corporate, M&A, and trust and estate matters. As a key role in our team, you will advise ownership and shape tax strategies that support both business growth and long-term planning. Key Responsibilities Oversee all tax-related matters, including income, corporate, trust, and partnership taxes. Serve as a strategic advisor to ownership and executive leadership on tax and financial matters, including trust and estate considerations, investment structures, and philanthropic planning Lead tax planning and strategy development to optimize financial outcomes and support business objectives. Ensure timely and accurate preparation, review, and filing of tax returns, including coordination with third-party tax preparers. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws to ensure full compliance and capture potential benefits. Assist in managing tax audits and resolving disputes as necessary. Support and manage relationships with service providers, ensuring that tax strategies align with the broader organizational goals. Provide guidance on complex transactions, including mergers and acquisitions. Uphold confidentiality and accuracy in all tax matters while delivering high-quality results. Qualifications Bachelor's in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field. CPA preferred. MST (Master of Science in Taxation) is a plus. 8+ years of relevant experience in tax compliance, planning, and financial advisory. Strong technical proficiency in individual and corporate tax matters. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement tax strategies and assess financial risks and opportunities. Strong relationship-building skills and professional presence; capable of serving as a trusted advisor. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex tax concepts. Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a proactive and collaborative approach.
