Overview AdventHealth, one of the largest faith-based systems in the country with 51 hospitals across 9 states, is seeking a Gastroenterology Program Director for our inaugural 2026 Gastroenterology Fellowship Program. Our West Florida Division is rapidly growing, with 13 hospitals (soon to be 14 with the opening of AdventHealth Riverview in Fall 2024) and over 500 employed physicians and APPs. We are looking for a board-certified, experienced Gastroenterology Program Director for this new fellowship program, affiliated with AdventHealth Tampa, the largest tertiary hospital in the division and the second-largest hospital in the system. AdventHealth Tampa has 626 beds, with the new Taneja Center for Surgery opened in 2022. Our residency programs include IM (started in 2023), General Surgery, OBGYN (both started in 2024), and Family Medicine (started in 2024) at AdventHealth Wesley Chapel. Interested candidates or associate program directors with 3-5 years of experience are encouraged to contact us with their CV to learn more about this exciting GME opportunity. Hospital Description Located in Tampa's uptown district, AdventHealth Tampa is a 626-bed tertiary hospital serving Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinellas, and surrounding counties. It is a leader in minimally invasive and robotic-assisted procedures and houses the Taneja Center for Surgery, a state-of-the-art surgical tower. The hospital is home to the AdventHealth Pepin Heart Institute, a leader in cardiovascular care and research for over 30 years. Other services include emergency care, cardiovascular medicine, digestive health, neuroscience, orthopedics, women's services, pediatrics, oncology, endocrinology, bariatrics, wound healing, and sleep medicine.
