Senior Director of Clinical Reimbursement Operations

(SDCRO) is responsible for overseeing MDS Coordinators and managing financial operations within the division. The SDCRO will handle MDS coordination, client relations related to RAI assessments, reimbursement optimization, and Care Plan development, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company standards. They will provide ongoing education and training to ensure skills align with current reimbursement policies and federal quality reporting programs. The role involves auditing for compliance and reimbursement optimization to achieve optimal client outcomes. The SDCRO performs well independently or collaboratively, utilizing clinical, analytical, communication, and customer service skills, along with sound judgment and professionalism. Provide supervision for MDS Solutions staff, including hiring, performance management, and terminations. Manage scheduled billing hours for each MDS Coordinator; provide ongoing feedback. Assist the Director of Education with orientation and onboarding of new MDS Coordinators; track all training activities. Identify training and performance needs; develop targeted improvement plans. Conduct regular audits of MDS Coordinators to ensure coding and care planning meet standards. Maintain client relations through meetings and reports to review performance and satisfaction. Inform VP of Consulting Operations of client concerns; follow through with corrective plans. Stay current with professional standards, MDS changes, regulations, reimbursement policies, and quality reporting programs. Collaborate with VP of Consulting Operations to set billable hours expectations. Assist in other related duties as directed. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in nursing or therapy discipline Minimum 5 years’ experience in a clinical position, with 3+ years in the RAI process Current and unrestricted RN or Therapist (OT, PT, or SLP) license Current RAC-CT certification Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and knowledge of quality improvement Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office; ability to learn billing software Leadership and interpersonal skills Knowledge of PDPM and State Case Mix Reimbursement systems Understanding of Medicare, Managed Care, and relevant regulations Effective communication and customer service skills Initiative, creativity, and innovation Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and ability to travel occasionally Key Rehab is an equal opportunity employer/service provider.
