Business Office Director
for a full-time, salaried position, working Monday through Friday. The role supervises all business office activities, including financial counseling, billing, and collections across all service lines. Monitor and report on key metrics such as cash collections, days outstanding, unbilled, denials, daily census, etc., with the CFO. Establish and maintain controls for all cash collected and posted in the patient accounting system. Communicate effectively with third-party insurance carriers to resolve issues affecting cash flow and patient satisfaction. Manage staff including hiring, development, training, performance management, and communication. Ensure compliance with third-party guidelines through effective communication with leadership. Oversee outside collection vendors, review reports, and approve invoices. Lead operational directives for all business office activities related to claims management and collections to meet financial goals. Support departmental goals and objectives through leadership. Review reports to monitor trends, identify deficiencies, and implement corrective actions. Coordinate with Utilization Review and Admissions to ensure proper insurance authorizations. Manage and direct subordinate staff to meet goals and objectives. Qualifications
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's in Business Administration or related field preferred. Experience:
Minimum five years' relevant experience, preferably in behavioral health; at least three years' supervisory experience.
