Support airborne LiDAR and geographic information system (GIS) data production.
Perform quality assurance/quality control and calibration of airborne LiDAR data.
Work with Team Lead and Technical Specialists to ensure LiDAR data flow.
Develop process efficiencies and improve methodologies.
Produce finalized LiDAR data deliverables based on client requests.
Train LiDAR technicians and other analysts.
Specific duties include: prepare technical writing and final reports;
train and supervise Senior Analysts with Calibration of Chiroptera and Hawkeye data sets;
train dataset and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) creation and updates;
manage project, timeline and health of project; coordinate with Project Manager;
set up Quicklook and Calibration team;
prepare Secondary QC of Handoff and reports;
support Chiroptera and Hawkeye data troubleshooting;
support tickets with Vendor;
improve workflow automation and process;
supervising coverage review;
train Analysts and Technicians;
conduct Quicklook and Calibration;
conduct Bathymetric coverage review;
conduct Chiroptera and Hawkeye Boresight calibration;
and Topobathymetric handoffs.
Job may be performed remotely up to 3 days per week. Requires 5% domestic travel and/or international travel.
Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Geographic Information Science, Geography and Environmental Resources, or a closely related field, plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as a geographic/spatial data analyst or similar role. Experience must include working with: Airborne LiDAR processing; Leica Chiroptera and Hawkeye Systems and associated Leica software; and ESRI, Vector-based software, and TerraSolid products.
