Job Title: Property Compliance Specialist Position Summary: The Compliance Specialist is responsible for maintaining compliance with HUD and Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC). The ideal candidate should possess strong organizational skills and a detail-oriented approach. Primary Duties:
Maintain tenant files and records to ensure accuracy according to HUD and LIHTC regulations, including renewing contracts for Section 8 participants and reviewing income and household composition. Determine eligibility for all new admissions in compliance with financing programs. Monitor EIV master binders for compliance with federal regulations. Review inspections and audits, and assist with corrections and correspondence. Monitor re-certification notification letters to ensure compliance with HUD and LIHTC regulations. Attend supervision and departmental meetings as scheduled. Participate in required company training programs. Respond promptly to inquiries, calls, emails, and correspondence. Coordinate and provide training for site staff. Maintain knowledge of PBS8, HCV, HUD, and LIHTC programs. Stay updated on current HUD regulations related to LIHTC and Section 8 Housing programs. Job Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of affordable housing compliance experience. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities. Work well under stress and meet deadlines. Dependable and punctual. Strong computer literacy skills. Working knowledge of LIHTC and HUD programs. Affordable Housing Certifications are a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
