Associate Director, Supply Chain
in

The
Associate Director, Supply Chain
is responsible for overseeing and managing multiple supply chain departments, ensuring seamless coordination across procurement, inventory management, logistics, and distribution functions. This role provides strategic leadership to develop and execute supply chain strategies that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain high-quality service standards.
Qualifications
Key Responsibilities:
Production planning operations:
Supervise and partner with planning team manager.
Partner with manufacturing team to build production schedule.
Specific understanding of manufacturing systems as they apply to MRP and production planning.
Warehouse Operations:
Supervise and partner with warehouse manager.
Supervise the handling of the identification and disposition of obsolete, damaged, and rejected inventory to ensure that inventory levels are properly maintained based on cGMP requirements.
Review inventory reports and monitor physical warehouse for upkeep and compliance with cGMP Requirements.
Review and approve warehouse-related analysis, reconciliations or month-end deliverables.
Assist with warehouse projects and continuous improvements.
Procurement Operations:
Supervise and partner with the Procurement Manager.
Ensure material coverage and safety stock are maintained to support production activities.
Monitor alternate source of supply for critical materials.
Track and report procurement metrics for supplier performance.
Maintain supplier relationships.
Customer Service Operations:
Supervise and partner with the Customer Service Manager.
Ensure third party logistics and distribution provider is performing as expected.
Ensure compliance with DSCSA regulations.
Plasma Operations:
Supervise and partner with the Plasma Operations Manager.
Ensure plasma material coverage to support manufacturing lots.
Maintain plasma supplier relationships.
Manage inventory, budget, and reporting, including inventory plans, reports, and obsolescence management.
Track and report on key processes and product lifecycle status.
Provide data reporting and dashboards for management.
Monitor lot release and testing to meet forecast demands, and recommend strategic actions during unforeseen events.
Manage quality systems (CAPA, Deviations, Change Controls) to ensure timely closure and effectiveness.
Manage relationships with CMOs and third-party logistics providers.
Participate in project teams for new and existing products.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, materials management, or related field.
Experience Requirements
Minimum ten years' experience in a related position with in-depth knowledge of inventory management and distribution systems.
Travel Requirements:
Up to 10% overnight travel.
