Compensation Overview The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range, representing a broad spectrum of salaries across the country. The actual salary will depend on factors such as role scope, complexity, location, candidate skills, education, training, credentials, experience, and other employment conditions. Employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards as part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program. Salary Range $96,400.00 - $159,100.00 Target Openings 2 What Is the Opportunity? We are seeking a dynamic Agile Product Owner to lead a team in delivering agile solutions, acting as the voice of the end-user, and ensuring strategic product and market-driven initiatives are achieved. This role focuses on enhancing Business Insurance’s Premium & Loss Processing & Warehouse applications. The Agile Product Owner will manage enhancements, provide production support, and ensure technical currency, collaborating across teams and initiatives that interact with these systems. What Will You Do?
Define, prioritize, and maintain a ready backlog for a smaller-scale product team, accept final product outputs, and focus on achieving outcomes rather than specific methodologies. Manage a backlog of deliverables and capabilities, incorporate 'test and learn' approaches, measure performance, and refine the roadmap accordingly. Understand and align team goals with the overall vision; communicate these effectively to stakeholders, Circle Leads, and team members. Act as the voice of the end-user, respond to customer feedback, and ensure requirements are clearly defined; verify that work products meet acceptance criteria. Own and prioritize the team backlog, making trade-offs to maximize value. Set objectives and KPIs to optimize the flow of value. Participate in business readiness activities, understand change impacts, and support adoption strategies. Provide feedback on ongoing work, clarify requirements, and help remove impediments; seek continuous improvement opportunities. Partner with leaders and peers to communicate resource needs for achieving business outcomes. Share best practices to ensure alignment and consistency within the value stream. Foster an inclusive, innovative team environment, promoting collaboration and self-organization. Collaborate with Scrum Master, Senior Data Management Manager, and Data Analysts. Support applications critical for reporting functions, aligning revenue, loss, and other data to business structures. Perform other duties as assigned. What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?
Bachelor’s degree preferred. Two years of Agile product management experience preferred. Strong decision-making skills to enhance value. Ability to break down objectives at the circle level. Experience gathering and using feedback for product improvement. Customer-focused problem-solving skills. Experience with Property & Casualty carriers preferred. Agile mindset: embody core values of openness, courage, respect, focus, and commitment; apply Agile principles and practices. Product mindset: define a product value proposition aligned with team objectives. Influence: ability to influence without traditional hierarchy. Servant leadership: foster an environment of empowerment and equality. Effective communication skills tailored to diverse audiences.
