As the

Sr. Director, Global Commercial Data & Platforms you

will play a key role leading the global commercial data strategy and initiatives, ensuring effective governance and stewardship across regions. This role is pivotal in deploying and optimizing commercial platforms. This role acts as a trusted advisor to regional leaders and cross-functional teams on best practices. You will also champion innovation, leveraging emerging technologies to continuously improve how data and platforms drive efficiency and growth. This is a high-impact, highly collaborative role that sits at the intersection of commercial operations, data strategy, and digital transformation. Responsibilities Lead Commercial Data Strategy and Initiatives Define the global commercial data strategy in close partnership with data strategists, IT, and regional teams

Establish clear governance frameworks and stewardship models to ensure consistency and compliance across markets

Deploy and Optimize Usage of Commercial Platforms Lead the selection, implementation, and optimization of platforms to improve efficiency and effectiveness across commercial operations

Evaluate user needs and platform performance to prioritize enhancements and integrations that maximize business impact

Foster Cross-Functional Alignment and Advise on Best Practices

Act as the central coordination point across data, tech, and commercial teams to ensure timely execution of strategic initiatives

Serve as a trusted business partner to regional commercial and analytics teams to define priorities, identify opportunities, and share scalable solutions

Provide structured advisory support that translates global strategy into actionable local execution plans

Coach and Empower High-Performing Teams Manage, coach, and mentor direct reports, setting clear objectives and supporting professional growth

Allocate team capacity to balance workload, ensure optimal utilization, and match skills to initiative needs

Champion a collaborative environment that empowers the team to innovate, share learnings, and continuously improve delivery excellence

Drive Innovation and Continuous Improvement Scout and evaluate emerging technologies that can enhance commercial performance

Develop and scale new practices aligned with global priorities and benchmarked against external best-in-class capabilities

Education and Experience Minimum Bachelor’s degree (preferred field of study in data science, technology, engineering)

15+ years of progressive experience in commercial operations, data strategy, or digital transformation, preferably in a global matrixed organization

10+ years of experience building high performance teams, driving accountability, empowerment, customer centricity and collaboration across functions and teams

Proven leadership of global data and platform strategies, including governance frameworks, platform deployments (e.g., CRM, SPM, BI tools), and enterprise adoption

Experience acting as a consultative partner to U.S. and international commercial leaders with varied operational contexts and transformation maturity levels

Preferred Master’s degree

Prior experience working in med tech, fintech, or similarly regulated industries

Skills and Competencies Ability to design and lead enterprise-wide data strategies enabling governance, scalability, and value creation

Ability to connect business insights to action, translating data capabilities into tangible commercial impact

Ability to advise and influence global stakeholders with diverse data maturity levels, bridging commercial, IT, and analytics teams

Capacity to navigate complexity across regions, aligning disparate systems, regulatory requirements, and commercial objectives

Highly skilled in aligning individual and organizational goals, providing thoughtful performance management, investing in talent development, and inspiring a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.

Ability to manage time and priorities effectively, delivering accurate, high-quality work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments

Ability to manage ambiguity and drive progress in evolving environments, using structured problem-solving mindset

Ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts, business models, and technologies, fostering continuous innovation

Capacity to lead change with emotional intelligence, fostering alignment, stakeholder engagement, and new ways of working across a global, matrixed organization

Physical Requirements Travel requirements: 25% business travel as needed NOTE: This position is eligible for hybrid working arrangements and requires on-site work from an Insulet office at least three (3) days per week. #LI-Hybrid Additional Information: The US base salary range for this full-time position is $189,825.00 - $284,737.50. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
