Principal Capture Executive VA & HHS As the Leader in Recruiting Intelligence, The Edens Group, LLC has been retained by a mission-focused digital services and technology consulting firm to identify a dynamic, innovative Principal Capture Executive to directly support their VA and HHS Client Capture work. The company has over 500 employees and reports over $100M in annual revenues. With limited oversight from leadership, you will be responsible for cohesively integrating capture management trends and devising a plan for adoption throughout the organization. The Company: Our client focuses on bridging the gap between consumer expectations and Government services by bringing expert technologists and cutting-edge digital services to support government programs. Their current focus is VA and HHS, and they are expanding to other Federal Civilian agencies. Through their work, government agencies such as the VA can offer their services to Veterans that are user-friendly, efficient, and readily available. Position Summary: A Principal Capture Executive serves as a representative of the department, effectively communicating initiatives to a diverse audience. Primary expectations include: Ability to develop and lead multiple capture efforts that have won major contracts. Ability to qualify and capture ($50M+) government acquisitions by leading teams to shape, position, and solution-differentiated tactics and approaches. Drive the pursuit lifecycle as a leader, delivering seamless, timely, high-quality capture expertise and guidance to Business Unit and other leaders across multiple offering areas. Experience executing all phases of a large, multi-year capture effort, including strategic planning, shaping, teaming, proposals, and competitive analyses. Experience developing and maintaining effective internal and external business relationships with clients and partners. Self-starter who can independently leverage experience and existing relationships to drive new market growth. Lead multidisciplinary pursuit teams; responsible for optimizing and supporting business performance. Experience with partnership relationship management and developing effective go-to-market strategies, relationships, and business opportunities. Communicate clearly with Senior Executives on capture strategies, activities, risks, blockers, and support needed. Develop, manage, and execute comprehensive capture plans following best practices like Shipley. Collaborate with subject matter experts, solution architects, and project managers to generate solutions that meet client needs. Research, identify, meet, and negotiate teaming agreements with partners. Lead gate reviews, participate in technical, management, and pricing strategy development, and evaluate proposal readiness. Coordinate capture efforts with proposal teams, pricing, HR, contracting, and other organizations. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience in strategic capture, proposal development, solutions development, or related fields. Success in winning opportunities ranging from small to GWAC/IDIQ. Understanding of all contract types, including FFP, T&M, cost-plus, etc. Experience with multi-award contract vehicles and price-to-win strategies. Ability to work remotely in a dynamic environment with stakeholders. Based in the greater Washington, DC area. Intangibles: Effective communication skills and ability to partner with researchers for customer briefings and white papers. Proactive workstyle with strategic planning capabilities. Ability to manage multiple complex tasks and projects simultaneously. Team player with the ability to work independently. Salary & Benefits: Competitive compensation with a base salary in the $220K - $230K range, 20% - 30% incentive bonus, and strong benefits.
