Requirements The Associate Vice President for Compliance and Ethics (AVP) coordinates, monitors, and oversees the university’s compliance activities, ensuring adherence to internal policies and external legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements. The AVP leads the Office of Compliance and Ethics, working with various departments to promote a culture of ethics and compliance. Responsibilities include: Overseeing daily operations of the compliance program to foster a culture of ethical behavior. Maintaining channels for reporting compliance concerns, including a hotline. Providing oversight and guidance on conflict of interest issues and ethical decision-making. Monitoring and improving the effectiveness of the compliance program. Work Interactions This role reports to the Vice President & General Counsel and the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors. The AVP must possess strong interpersonal skills to build trust with faculty, staff, and external partners, including university officers, employees, the Board, and consultants. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree and at least ten years of experience in legal, compliance, or audit roles; JD preferred. Experience in higher education or research organizations is preferred. Knowledge of federal and state regulations relevant to education is advantageous. Experience designing and improving compliance programs is highly desirable. $135,188.00 - $264,291.85 . Compensation depends on qualifications, experience, education, skills, certifications, and university needs.
