Amazon . Description As a Senior Risk Manager, you will spearhead operational excellence and automation initiatives within our Compliance and Safety program. This pivotal role focuses on optimizing processes, reducing operational expenses (OpEx), and implementing automation solutions to enhance our risk management capabilities. You will develop and execute strategies to reduce OpEx while maintaining compliance and safety standards, lead automation projects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and reduce costs. Responsibilities include analyzing workflows, developing AI-driven solutions, and overseeing the integration of new technologies into existing systems. Key responsibilities include managing automated risk assessment tools, developing KPIs, engaging stakeholders, and staying current with industry trends. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive innovation and efficiency in Amazon's risk management practices, impacting the company's bottom line while ensuring compliance and safety. Mentoring junior team members and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement are also part of this role. Key job responsibilities Develop and execute strategies to reduce OpEx while maintaining or improving compliance and safety standards. Lead the design and implementation of automation projects to streamline risk management processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction. Analyze workflows and develop AI-driven solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Oversee the integration of new technologies, such as machine learning and natural language processing, into existing risk management systems. Manage and optimize the performance of automated risk assessment and mitigation tools. Develop and track KPIs to measure the success of automation initiatives and OpEx reduction efforts. Engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment on automation goals and strategies. Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in risk management and compliance automation. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications 6+ years of end-to-end program management experience Experience building cross-functional partnerships and influencing stakeholders without direct authority Experience working with data and making data-driven decisions Ability to handle confidential information Proven track record of setting direction and delivering results in dynamic environments Preferred Qualifications Master's degree or equivalent PMP or similar certification 6+ years of experience in compliance, audit, or risk management Experience in operations, investigations, risk or crisis management, or escalations Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences Experience with consulting or similar environments Professional auditing or compliance credentials Experience working with distributed international teams Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity.
