We are hiring an individual who plans, organizes, directs, and leads programs and activities that promote the social, emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual development of residents as part of their total care, in accordance with community policies, procedures, and regulations. Plan and develop programs and activities tailored to residents' needs, interests, and abilities, fostering wellness across various domains, including social, emotional, mental, physical, spiritual, occupational, and environmental aspects. Utilize monthly themes, birthdays, and anniversaries for programming. Organize, direct, and lead group and individual programs, especially in higher levels of care. Complete documentation to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations regarding activities and psychosocial services. Meet with residents to understand their needs and talents, collaborating with the Director of Life Enrichment to ensure meaningful and diverse programming. Coordinate schedules, direct residents and volunteers, and create monthly calendars and marketing materials using software like Word or Canva. Decorate areas for holidays and diverse groups, manage program setup and breakdown, and maintain inventory of materials and supplies. Leverage community resources and collaborate with staff to plan activities; provide in-service training to staff on activity programs. Assist with Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) reports as needed. Report concerns regarding residents' well-being to management and participate in interdisciplinary team activities. Provide backup support to the Life Enrichment team and manage materials and supplies inventory. Perform other duties as required.Why Work Here:

You have knowledge of OBRA regulations, Title 22, and California Administrative Codes relevant to social services and activities. You are sensitive to issues affecting aging populations and knowledgeable about bereavement, grief, and loss management. You possess basic knowledge of activity equipment and programming suitable for residents. You have excellent communication skills, are organized, and can plan and instruct effectively. You are creative, capable of multi-tasking, and can set and chart goals for residents' progress. You understand safety procedures and can respond to accidents or injuries appropriately. You are proficient with Microsoft Office and capable of performing physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs. You hold an Associate Arts degree in Recreation or equivalent; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred. You have at least two years of relevant experience and can complete required training within one year.
