The Catholic University of America The Award Compliance Analyst (ACA) ensures that monies entrusted to the University are spent in accordance with federal, state, local, or private sponsor regulations, guidelines and conditions. Secondarily, the ACA ensures high-quality triage and response to all inquiries while supporting principal investigators with CUA administration and assisting across operations as needed.

The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is $47,509.

Timely facilitate the human resources and procure-to-pay processes for grant activity by reviewing documentation submitted by Principal Investigators (PIs) and department administrators to ensure costs are allowable, within budget, and within the approved project period; this includes requisitions, student appointments, EDFs, credit card charges, payment requests, and other grant-related transactions within university systems. Manage subaward invoices and payments to include communication with sponsoring agencies and subawardee institutions. Review and approve budget amendment requests to ensure compliance with award terms and sponsor intent. Prepare and analyze budget projections to identify variances and support the resolution of deficits through cost transfers, appointment forms, and related actions. Monitor and project fringe benefit expenses to proactively prevent overdrafts. Audit monthly university card expenditures for irregularities and non-compliance with federal and University rules related to sponsored funding. Resolve improper university charges with users on sponsored funds. Load all increments, extensions and change of PI requests from Sponsored Programs paying close attention to detailed and summary totals. Analyze actual indirect cost rates and other expenses to ensure compliance with federal overhead rates and other terms. Works with all OSA positions to ensure the requests of PIs are addressed or properly referred to other campus resources in compliance with federal restrictions and CUA policies. Serve as grants ambassador, providing relevant training periodically and on an as-need basis to research areas on university processes. Review existing University policy to ensure compliance with federal guidelines and working with appropriate entities to update as needed or when prompted. Be responsive and follow-up on customer queries, requests, complaints or interactions in a timely manner in accordance with division and department standards. Daily chartfield approval. Cash deposits. Other duties as assigned for the effective and efficient operation of the department as determined by Director. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Compliance or a related field. Three to five years managing or administering grants in an institutional setting. General knowledge of computer spreadsheet applications (Excel). Experience in a Windows environment is a plus. Knowledge of PeopleSoft and Federal Regulations (FAR, OMB Circulars, Uniform Guidance) is required for this position.
