The Manager, Operations will lead a motivated team of associates, provide support to volunteer leaders in daily execution of the goals and objectives of the organization. This requires a detailed understanding of all specific functions within the Operations Department. This Manager will be assigned geographic areas to build and motivate teams. This Manager will have a solid knowledge of the incident command system and expertise in the planning, mobilization, and demobilization operations. The Manager, Operations will be responsible for driving delivery of Team Rubicon Services and capabilities and for establishing and prioritizing the growth strategy for volunteer and community relationships in the West Branch. This role involves managing resources, finances, personnel issues, and administrative functions to support the organization’s mission and goals. The position reports to TR’s Deputy Director, Operations (West Branch) and is based out of Seattle, WA; Denver, CO; Portland, OR; Las Vegas, NV; Phoenix, AZ; Santa Fe, NM, or Salt Lake City, UT. Duties include managing the assigned budget, providing leadership and team management, evaluating staff performance, executing purchasing and expenses, assisting with planning and budgeting, supporting personnel recruitment and well-being, developing team goals, supporting volunteer management, leading leadership lifecycle programs, supporting department needs during surges, building relationships with donors, partners, and volunteers, leading capacity-building efforts, organizing training and simulations, coordinating disaster response operations, and providing EOC support as needed. Education and background requirements include 5-7 years of relevant professional experience in military, disaster response, emergency management or first responder fields, a bachelor’s degree preferred, proven personnel management experience, proficiency with technology tools for remote work, and successful past performance in leading volunteers. This is a full-time, remote position with a flexible and non-traditional work schedule, requiring local and some non-local travel. The job offers a salary range of $68,149.60 - $116,163.60 per year and various benefits including flexible paid time off, matching 401k contributions, company-paid health benefits, professional development, and paid volunteer time.
