Base pay range $150,000.00/yr - $220,000.00/yr Director -VP of Supply Chain The Opportunity At First Day, we are redefining what it means to nourish families through science-backed, clean-label supplements and a deeply human approach to health. As we scale rapidly across direct-to-consumer, retail, and marketplace channels, we're hiring a Director of Supply Chain who can architect the systems, cadence, and cross-functional rhythm needed to meet growing demand with precision and care. This is not a maintenance role. It is a build-and-lead opportunity that is ideal for a strategic operator who can move seamlessly between demand planning, inventory control, factory execution, and customer delivery. You will lead the entire value chain from forecast to fulfillment, with a focus on data-driven decision-making, ecommerce and omnichannel execution excellence, and scalable infrastructure. The connective tissue between commercial ambition and operational reality. What You’ll Lead 1. Demand & Supply Planning (S&OP) Own the monthly S&OP process across Sales, Finance, and Operations. Consistently translate forecasts into actionable and timely production, inventory, and material sourcing plans. Partner with Marketing, Sales, and Finance to align, measure, and improve, operational plans, processes, and KPI targets, against innovation schedules, forecasts, financial objectives, and working capital guardrails. Measure and project supply chain utilization, and efficiency, to ensure sufficient and cost-effective supply capacity. Own the integrity, and effectiveness, of the end-to-end supply planning process through the measurement, and continuous improvement, of supply chain performance and the accurate reconciliation of working capital. Develop insightful guidance, and data models, to compliment cross-functional decision making processes, demand planning accuracy, competitive bidding scenarios, process improvements, and overall execution excellence. Identify, quantify, escalate, and lead, the resolution of risks and opportunities in support of achieving cross-functional business objectives. 2. Factory & Replenishment Planning Lead the master production scheduling process with repeatable consistency and customer-focused resilience. Ensure strong relations, and communication, with co-manufacturers, and material suppliers, by providing clear visibility to requirements and measuring accountability. Collaborate proactively with factory sites to understand, measure, and manage, capacity-utilization for optimized synchronization with business objectives. Drive supply-side agility, and execution excellence, in new product introductions, and new market entries, to enable successful innovation, and sustainable growth. Set and manage materials, and finished goods, to optimal inventory targets based on lead times, growth aspirations, and demand volatility, at all fulfillment locations. 3. Inventory Management & Deployment Manage multi-node inventory: DCs, 3PLs, retail partner warehouses, and Amazon. Optimize inventory turns while preventing stockouts and overages. Track and optimize storage, logistics, and deployment costs. Lead and execute deployment strategies across channels to maximize availability and margin. Ensure operational alignment of 3PL partners to fulfillment requirements and performance expectations. Collaborate with internal and external partners to maintain the integrity of working capital reporting and FEFO inventory management. Oversee order-to-cash fulfillment process across DTC, retail, and Amazon. Ensure customer EDI compliance, retail in-full and on-time of 99% and 95% respectively, and lead efforts to achieve retail scorecard excellence. Provide business-wide visibility to order volume, fulfillment status, and delivery performance with a proactive focus on mitigating risks prior to escalation. Serve as the escalation point for key accounts, collaborating closely with Sales and CX. Troubleshoot fulfillment deficiencies by applying root cause and countermeasure methodologies to continuously improve the supply chain. 5. Master Data & Systems Integration Own the accuracy and governance of item, customer, and location, master data to support the reliable output of downstream systems and processes. Lead integrations across ERP, MRP, OMS, Amazon Vendor Central, and retail portals. Map and implement automation and error-proofing solutions in all supply chain processes including, but not limited to, sourcing, production planning, order-to-cash fulfillment, deployment and inventory management. What You Bring 8+ years of progressive, analytically-driven, supply chain leadership in CPG, ideally in the food, beverage, or supplement industries. Deep expertise in demand planning, inventory deployment, and omnichannel fulfillment in a 3PL network environment. Familiarity leading and planning production in a multi-site, co-manufactured network. Success supporting CPG order fulfillment operations with world class delivery performance. Strong ERP and integration experience (EDI, MRP, WMS, OMS, forecasting tools). Track record of building and continuously improving supply chain systems in high-growth environments. Analytical problem solving and process modeling capability as applicable to supply chain processes. Leadership style that combines rigor, agility, humility, and cross-functional empathy.
