FOOD: Lucky Duck Meals for the Unsheltered Homeless Program in San Diego The Lucky Duck Food and Water Initiative has distributed over 2 million meals to San Diego’s unsheltered neighbors since May 2020. This project is vital to providing food and water to the unhoused on the streets of San Diego County, and volunteers are essential to its success.

Attire:

Closed-toe shoes are required. This opportunity takes place indoors. Be sure to check the weather forecast, as it can get hot at the distribution site, especially given the physical nature of the work. Physical Requirements:

Volunteers will be lifting bags weighing up to 35 pounds and standing for the duration of the shift. Proper lifting techniques are essential to avoid injury. Accommodations are available for individuals with physical limitations, including chairs and wheelchair accessibility. Waiver:

A waiver is required for minors. About Lucky Duck Foundation The mission of the Lucky Duck Foundation is to prevent and alleviate homelessness throughout San Diego County.
