EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, CUSTOMER BUSINESS UNIT
IMPACT and OPPORTUNITY
The Executive Director, Customer Business Unit, is responsible to lead, guide, and direct a team to meet and exceed business targets by protecting existing revenue while sourcing growth opportunities and proactively anticipating sales trends and impacts. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Growth of Customer Business Unit
Drive profitable growth within business unit.
Deliver growth targets as agreed with the Regional SVP & GM.
Sell and increase product awareness across all product lines as defined by strategic plan.
Own and present business case reviews with management as defined within DOA (Delegation of Authority).
Ensure World Class Customer Satisfaction.
Ensure Voice of Customer is communicated within Gentherm.
Business Unit Leadership
Effectively manage all direct reports in accordance with the Customer Business Unit.
Create and update on an annual basis, a business unit strategic plan.
Initiate, facilitate and ensure effective communications between the Commercial and Operational sides of our business units.
Report and forecast business unit performance (top line sales and Business Unit Contribution) to senior management as requested.
Business Unit Top Line Sales - Performance against forecast
Maintain an accurate top lines sales forecast through the effective utilization of information available to.
Effectively manage the commercial side of the business unit's direct and indirect sales organization.
Forecast business unit and product line gross margins by category and monitor performance.
OTHER DUTIES
Business Unit Contribution
Manage Sales budgets for assigned yourself and direct reports.
Work with operational leaders to ensure on-time delivery and margin performance.
Innovation
Work with appropriate team members to foster product development initiatives.
Work with operational leaders to bring innovations to market in a timely and effective manner.
Foster Business Expansion strategies as appropriate that investigate markets and applications outside traditional markets and within core competencies while generating ROI business plans for development initiatives.
Customer Trust
Work with executive leadership to ensure the highest quality of customers service us delivered 100% of the time.
Guide project management team members to coordinate and execute project installation, startup to bring our equipment on line and into production according to the customer's expectations.
Proactively survey and monitor customer satisfaction.
All other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Marketing or related field with a minimum of eight years of relevant experience
Proven ability to sell at the highest levels
Ability to build and maintain relationships, negotiate contracts while actively seeking account growth
Demonstrated leadership skills
Demonstrated excellent analytical skills
Demonstrated effective interpersonal communication and negotiation skills
Strong Financial Forecasting and Planning Knowledge and experience using Sales Databases, SAP, and IHS Forecasting tools
Ability to think beyond geographical/functional responsibility
Solutions driven, proven track record of results
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Previous experience working with an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer)
NICE TO KNOW TRAVEL:
Up to 25% Local and Global
