Summary of Position As a team member at Surya, you will learn how to work within an entrepreneurial environment. The Showroom Manager will proactively manage the customer experience at the Surya showroom and support marketing events. Responsibilities include maintaining the showroom, building relationships with retail and designer networks, and educating walk-in guests to convert visits into sales.
The ideal candidate is professional, well-organized, personable, and a strong communicator, with a resourceful personality, self-motivation, and an interest in design concepts.
Responsibilities
Open, maintain, and manage showroom facilities and appearance, including maintenance and merchandising.
Be a brand advocate with extensive product knowledge.
Provide exceptional customer service to all visitors.
Develop strategies to increase showroom traffic and grow regional accounts.
Report and analyze showroom metrics.
Assist sales, operations, and marketing teams as needed.
Multitask and meet objectives and deadlines.
Manage memberships with industry associations such as ASID, IDS, etc.
Requirements
3-5 years of sales experience in the home accessories industry.
Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
Engaging personality, strong work ethic, and professionalism.
Excellent verbal communication and phone etiquette.
Attention to detail and results-driven mindset.
Experience with industry associations.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
Quick learner with product knowledge.
Ownership and responsibility for tasks.
Ability to collaborate across departments.
