Job Overview The Instrumentation and Controls Coordinator oversees planning, coordination, and implementation of instrumentation and control systems for water and wastewater facilities. Responsibilities include working with project teams to ensure systems are designed, installed, calibrated, and tested according to project requirements, timelines, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain procedures for system checkout, testing, calibration, and operation.
Provide technical guidance during installation, calibration, troubleshooting, and operation.
Review design documents and create coordinated diagrams.
Collaborate with engineers, vendors, and project managers to ensure compliance.
Maintain control schematics and documentation.
Support field technicians and electricians during installation and commissioning.
Evaluate vendor proposals for compliance with specifications.
Manage procurement and maintenance of hardware/software.
Develop training materials and support troubleshooting and upgrades.
Qualifications
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience with system documentation and training.
Deep knowledge of instrumentation, control systems, PLCs, HMI systems, and calibration.
Familiarity with water/wastewater treatment operations.
Proficiency with hardware and software such as National Instruments LabVIEW, GE Proficy, Rockwell RSLogix, and Emerson Ovation.
High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s in Electrical or related engineering preferred.
Authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship).
Additional Details This is a full-time, entry-level position with competitive salary ($130k-$160k) and benefits. Work involves site visits, office work, and occasional travel. Overtime may be required.
