Education & Secure Facilities | South East England | £120k – £130k + BenefitsI am currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established construction business seeking an experienced Project Director to lead high-profile projects in the South East.

These projects include a secondary school refurbishment and a secure facility upgrade, offering a fantastic opportunity to manage complex, high-value builds.About the RoleFor this Project Director role, the successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of large-scale education and secure environment construction projects.
You will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage commercial and operational aspects, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.You will work closely with senior management and key stakeholders, ensuring robust governance, risk management, and excellent client relationships.Key Responsibilities * Lead delivery of education and secure facility projects, ensuring schedule, budget, and quality targets are met * Develop and implement comprehensive project plans and commercial strategies * Manage teams including subcontractors, consultants, and client contacts * Proactively identify and mitigate risks and challenges * Oversee contract administration and financial management * Maintain effective stakeholder communication and reporting * Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulationsQualifications & Experience * Proven track record as a Project Director or Senior Project Manager in education, refurbishment, or secure facilities projects * Experience managing projects valued from £20m to £50m+ * Strong commercial and contract management skills * Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation abilities * Relevant construction-related qualification (Degree or equivalent) * Chartered status (RICS, CIOB) but not essential * Full UK driving licenceLocation & Working Arrangements * South East England-based role with projects within reasonable commuting distance * Mixture of office, site visits, and remote working depending on project demandsPackage * Salary: £120k–£130k plus performance-related bonuses * Benefits include pension scheme, private healthcare, and generous holiday entitlementIf you are a commercially focused Project Director looking for a new challenge in the education and secure facilities sector, please get in touch to discuss this exciting opportunity
