The Director of Commercial Sales is a pivotal new role at Business & Pleasure Co., responsible for developing and executing a robust commercial sales strategy that drives revenue growth within hospitality, commercial, and trade channels. This leader will build and expand B&P’s presence in the outdoor furniture space by leveraging industry expertise and an extensive network of potential clients. This position demands a hands-on approach—strategic yet tactical—requiring collaboration with marketing, product development, and operations to ensure a seamless sales experience. The ideal candidate will be a business builder and brand steward, aligning all sales initiatives with B&P’s design aesthetic, quality standards, and customer-centric values. Success in this role requires focusing on short-term sales, long-term client retention, enhancing lifetime value (LTV), and implementing loyalty initiatives to establish B&P as the preferred brand in commercial outdoor furniture. The individual must analyze market opportunities, identify optimization areas, and apply innovative strategies to accelerate growth. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and implement strategic sales plans to meet revenue targets. Identify and cultivate relationships with key clients such as hotels, resorts, restaurants, and developers. Build relationships with interior designers and architects. Lead and mentor a sales team, setting goals and performance metrics. Establish partnerships with distributors, dealers, and industry stakeholders. Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities. Collaborate with marketing, product development, and customer service teams. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements for long-term relationships. Represent the company at industry events and trade shows. Monitor sales performance, providing reports and insights to management. Ensure compliance with policies and regulations. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field. Flexible hybrid work model, based in Los Angeles, CA. 7-10+ years in commercial sales, preferably in outdoor furniture. Proven leadership in sales teams and achieving targets. Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship skills. Knowledge of sales channels, contracts, and distribution strategies. Ability to analyze market trends and develop strategies. Proficiency in CRM and sales analytics tools. Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events.
