We seek a motivated, data-driven category manager to support our Americas data center operations. The candidate should possess strong procurement skills, analytical and financial acumen, and experience managing large-scale supply chain projects. As a Category Manager for Energy infrastructure, you will develop sourcing strategies for procurement categories, collaborate with partners and suppliers, and drive efficiencies, risk reduction, and cost savings. You will establish performance metrics and use competitive bidding, negotiations, and market analysis to achieve results. The ideal candidate is strategic, autonomous, analytical, and customer-focused, with a passion for innovation and alignment with Amazon’s Leadership Principles. Key Qualifications: Proven experience in process improvements, energy infrastructure equipment, and construction categories like substations, generators, turbines, power systems, renewables, and storage. High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Strategic thinking and methodical execution skills. Influencing skills to drive change using smart technologies. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment. Strong analytical, financial, and business judgment skills. Hands-on attitude with a general manager mentality. Deep understanding of products, business, and market landscape. Ability to plan comprehensively and ensure timely execution. Results-oriented with measurable outcomes. Strong influencing skills. Experience managing construction scopes through development and commissioning. Metrics measurement experience (e.g., order cycle, shipment accuracy). Expertise in procurement best practices and tools. Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with a hands-on approach. Ability to develop tools, reports, and visualizations for decision-making.
