Multi Asset Solutions (MAS) is a multi-asset class investing group that sits within the Asset Management Division at Goldman Sachs. It designs and develops comprehensive investment management solutions customized to meet the investment objectives and relevant constraints of clients. These solutions bring together state-of-the-art techniques for multi-asset portfolio design and implementation and reflect proprietary research and analytics conducted by the MAS team. With investment professionals across the globe, MAS invests or advises on assets for some of the world’s leading corporations, sovereign wealth funds, pension plans, governments, financial institutions, endowments, foundations, and family offices. We are seeking a Vice President to serve as a US Models Multi-Asset Solution Specialist to support the Goldman Sachs US MAS retail Models business. This is a role that is client facing and combines expertise in investments, the retail asset management industry, and business commerciality in a high-growth, high-visibility area of the firm. As a MAS Models specialist, this individual will be responsible for positioning business to retail investors, including RIAs and Turnkey Asset Management Providers. The individual will lead new business and product opportunities, communicate the MAS US retail Models to existing/prospect clients and advisors, and drive the development of investment content and ideas to promote our products within the Advisor ecosystem PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES Work closely with senior members of the Multi-Asset Solutions and across the firm to develop a high level of industry, product, and commercial expertise across the product platform to accelerate asset growth and market share for US Multi-Asset Solution Models business. The role will include: Client facing role responsible for engagement, new product development, business strategy and planning, client communications and the ongoing development of marketing materials & collateral for new and existing products Responsible for communicating the investment process to potential clients, interpreting portfolio performance and analytics for existing clients, and serving as the bridge between our investment process and portfolio managers with clients both internal and external to GS Serve as a Models expert by delivering portfolio construction expertise, education, and market insights through the presentation of GS Multi-Asset Solution Models content in client meetings and other events Identify product gaps in collaboration with sales and propose opportunities to grow the business across Asset Management’s retail models offerings Keep abreast of industry research and communicating findings across Asset Management Coordinate cross-division across Goldman Sachs on MAS Models business opportunities Coordinate with market- and client-facing stakeholders across the firm to gather ideas and develop commercial product priorities Work with team members to identify unique client solutions/products to market SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or equivalent), CFA or MBA strongly preferred, 5-8 years of financial industry experience Series 7 and Series 63 licenses are required (and will be sponsored by the firm if not already completed) Investment credibility through previous product or portfolio management experience in at least one asset class Intermediary/retail asset management/ Models experience a must Strong preference for experience of pitching to and advising clients Excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially the ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with others Strong work ethic and commercial perspective Strong technical skills including high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, and familiarity with industry data through such sources as Morningstar Direct, Simfund, Cerulli, PSN, Bloomberg, and FactSet.
