Job Title: Sitework Foreman Location: Southeastern US Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable, experienced Sitework Foreman to oversee and manage all phases of site preparation and earthwork on construction projects. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, safety-focused, and capable of leading crews while maintaining productivity, quality, and timelines.
THIS JOB REQUIRES TRAVEL THROUGHOUT THE SOUTHEASTERN US (COMPANY PAID). ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities: • Supervise and lead crews in sitework operations, including excavation, grading, trenching, utility installation, and backfilling. • Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and project specifications. • Coordinate daily work activities and assign tasks to crew members. • Operate and oversee operation of heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, and loaders. • Ensure compliance with project schedules, safety regulations, and quality standards. • Conduct site inspections and ensure that work is progressing according to plans. • Communicate effectively with project managers, inspectors, subcontractors, and suppliers. • Monitor inventory of materials and request supplies as needed. • Troubleshoot problems as they arise in the field and make adjustments to keep the job moving. • Maintain detailed records of daily activities, including crew time, materials used, and progress reports. • Train and mentor crew members to ensure skill development and adherence to safety protocols. ________________________________________ Qualifications: • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in sitework or heavy civil construction, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role. • Strong understanding of site grading, erosion control, stormwater systems, and utility installations. • Ability to read construction documents and work from site plans. • Proficient in operating and supervising the use of heavy equipment. • Valid driver's license and clean driving record; CDL a plus.
