Director, Commercial Claims Physical Damage - Trucking . The ideal candidate will be a key leader with the Physical Damage team, with a proven track record of successfully driving results, a passion for helping others, and will bring energy and enthusiasm to the team. You will lead and execute change management, claims strategies, and leader development. You will oversee physical damage claims handling, loss control, strategic initiatives, and processes. Additionally, you will drive operational risk management, regulatory compliance training, policies, and procedures across multiple teams. This position will oversee a segment of operations for nationwide physical damage (specifically commercial vehicles). Location:
Remote Responsibilities: Provide guidance on technical matters, monitor claims reserves, and extend settlement authority. Develop and maintain relationships with industry partners and oversee progress and improvement of physical damage initiatives. Leverage data and analytics to drive decision-making, build and create new processes, drive efficiencies, and deliver business results. Coach managers on leading their teams in claims handling, inspecting, reviewing claim quality, and responding to escalations. Plan, organize, and control resources to deliver appropriate claims service. Ensure compliance with state regulations, policies, procedures, and the Fair Claims Settlement Practices Act. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of related experience (may be substituted in lieu of a degree). 4+ years in commercial trucking claims handling. 5+ years in customer service, change management, strategic planning, process implementation, cross-functional collaboration, and team leadership. 4+ years of Property & Casualty (P&C) claims experience with demonstrated proficiency. 3+ years of management experience leading teams handling Physical Damage Claims. Proven track record of process improvement, operational excellence, and leading organizations through change. Strong business acumen regarding industry practices and emerging trends.
