Compliance Manager Type:
Full-Time, Exempt Compensation:
$70,000 - $80,000 Yearly Benefits: Health Insurance (Medical, Vision, Dental) PTO (Vacation, Sick) Equity Shares (ESOP) Key Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures and respond to supervision. Maintain policy and procedure manuals for substance abuse, mental health, and outpatient programs. Collaborate with a team of compliance associates to ensure program adherence to Akua policies. Conduct routine audits of the physical environment, client charts, and medication management across programs. Assist with onboarding program staff as required by management or HR. Maintain current CLIA certificates and waivers for testing sites. Participate in complaint investigations, quality-of-care reviews, and inspections such as State and Joint Commission surveys. Oversee incident reporting processes and maintain required postings and notices at licensed programs. Educate program staff on new and upcoming regulatory requirements. Support management in streamlining workflows related to compliance. Assist with credentialing of new medical providers. Maintain monthly reports on program evaluation and safety metrics. Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or higher Current CPR/First Aid Certification Health Screen, TB test, Live Scan, and Valid Driver License Qualifications: Professional appearance, attitude, and ability to maintain professional boundaries High ethics and integrity Minimum of 2 years experience in behavioral health Strong communication skills and experience with EMR systems and Microsoft Excel Knowledge of substance abuse, mental health clinical information, and relevant licensing standards Ability to multitask and manage logistics and workflows effectively Company Description: Akua Behavioral Health is California's leading mental health and substance abuse treatment center.
