Morgantown, WV Overview:
The Head of Operations Engineering at our aseptic beverage manufacturing facility plays a pivotal role in ensuring seamless engineering operations across the organization. This position is crucial for fostering collaboration, driving continuous improvement, and maintaining operational excellence. Key Responsibilities: Oversee planning, development, and implementation of processes, systems, and resource allocation within the Engineering Department. Monitor and report on efficiency KPIs, driving continuous improvements. Lead initiatives to streamline engineering operations, reduce downtime, and boost productivity. Manage budgets including CapEx, training, and support/consulting. Control engineering drawings, design, and equipment specifications. Oversee CMMS (Upkeep) for tracking engineering and maintenance work. Engage with vendors on industry developments and new technologies. Manage equipment contracts, scope of supply, and resource allocation. Coordinate with Production and Technical teams for scheduling and resource planning. Support EH&S procedures and safety programs. Oversee engineering projects, ensuring proper scheduling and resource management. Assess manufacturing processes for cost-effectiveness and efficiency improvements. Implement new technologies and systems for process improvement. Establish and enforce engineering policies, standards, and security measures. Ensure compliance with SQF and Food Safety standards. Supervisory Responsibilities:
Lead the Engineering team, including recruitment, development, and task delegation. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical); MBA preferred. Minimum 10 years of manufacturing engineering experience. 5-7 years managing capital projects, budgets, and timelines. Knowledge of FDA, PMO design requirements, and Good Manufacturing Practices preferred. Experience in low acid aseptic beverage manufacturing preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, ERP/CRM, and MES systems. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and organizational skills. Physical Requirements:
Prolonged sitting, lifting up to 15 pounds, working with electronic equipment.
