Director of Flight Operations Job Summary The Director of Flight Operations provides leadership to ensure Flight Operations achieve company goals related to safety, security, reliability, operational efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction. The role involves overseeing standards, operating procedures, and compliance with technical and regulatory requirements. Job Responsibilities

Responsible for duties required by FAA Part 119.65(a)(2). Ensure high safety standards in Flight Operations. Maintain and improve safety risk management processes supporting SMS principles. Enforce safety objectives in coordination with the Safety Department. Ensure compliance with company standards and regulations. Serve as liaison with FAA/CAA on operational concerns. Coordinate with training and technical teams to ensure safety and standardization. Supervise Flight Standards and support Line Check Airmen. Communicate company goals and performance requirements to staff. Research and implement new equipment, procedures, and policies. Analyze products for compliance, safety, and operational benefits. Supervise staff performance and training. Coordinate with Maintenance and vendors on avionics and aircraft technology. Ensure optimal performance in NextGen Airspace. Recommend modifications to equipment and flight deck configurations. Disseminate operational specifications and support information to flight crews. Collaborate on MEL, CDL, and Deferred Maintenance programs. Coordinate weight, performance, and operational procedures with relevant departments. Identify training needs and communicate technical information to crews. Maintain flight operation manuals and publications. Oversee the EFB Program. Report to the Executive Team on Flight Operations status. Assist in budget planning and internal evaluation programs. Implement safety and security standards and programs. Work with Labor Relations and ALPA on related matters. Manage safety risks and security threats. Ensure operations comply with the AOC and regulations. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Required Airline Transport Pilot certificate with 2+ years supervisory or managerial experience. Experience in technical documentation or periodical literature. Meet CFR Part 119.67(a) qualifications for Director of Operations and common minimum qualifications. Qualified for Part 121 operations. 5-8 years pilot experience, including 3 years as Pilot-in-Command under Parts 135 or 121. Management or instructing background in airlines. Knowledge of aviation safety standards, FAA regulations, and operations specifications. Proficiency in English communication. Authorization to work in the U.S. Supervisory Responsibility:

Responsibilities may be delegated to Vice President of Operations in absence. Travel:

Travel required. Authorities

Overall operational control, delegated to the Chief Pilot if necessary. Manage DE/Anti-icing, EFB Program, Manual Systems, Weight & Balance, and Performance systems. Discipline and performance management of pilots.
