Responsibilities
Summary
The Vice President of Reentry Partnership Development is responsible for the overall strategic direction and management of the Reentry Partnership Development team. It sets goals and develops plans to achieve those goals. It is responsible for meeting or exceeding corporate revenue, margin and strategic targets.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
The Vice President of Reentry Partnership Development oversees all staff and functions related to Reentry Partnership Development with the responsibility of retaining existing contracts and obtaining new ones. Directs the managerial activities for staff including interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. The Vice President of Reentry Partnership Development is responsible for the overall size, structure and quality of the Partnership Development team to maximize the success and achievement of revenue and margin targets. Represents GEO to government agencies, partners, and at industry events. The Vice President of Reentry Partnership Development monitors legislative efforts and regulatory requirements and develops plans to address those that may impact our organization. Builds and maintains relationships with government officials and educates them about our company’s services. The Vice President of Reentry Partnership Development leads and directs the team in the timely identification and analysis of partnership development targets for Reentry by market and by region. Works closely with the Proposal Development team to ensure compelling and timely proposal submissions. The Vice President of Reentry Partnership Development conducts customer site visits and interacts with new and existing customers to develop and maintain positive customer relationships and promote Company services and partnerships. Interacts and communicates with key financial personnel regarding budgets, forecasts, margins as well as project pricing to ensure a cost competitive structure. The Vice President of Reentry Partnership Development develops ongoing forecasts and partnership development projection data. Monitors, measures and reports on activities to the Executive Vice President, Partnership Development and other senior management as required. The Vice President of Reentry Partnership Development leads the team on developing and maintaining a network of contacts with government leaders and professionals within criminal justice and oversees consultant relationships. Leads special projects such as the Strategic Planning Team and the Revenue Steering Committee. The Vice President of Reentry Partnership Development maintains industry and product knowledge. Informs senior management of changing market conditions. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Criminal Justice, Communications or related field. Ten (10) years of experience in sales management, including government sales and account management. In-depth knowledge of sales strategies for the government or corrections segments. Strategic partnership development or sales account planning skills. In-depth knowledge of corrections industry and industry trends. Extensive knowledge of electronic monitoring services. Conflict management skills, including negotiation, problem determination and resolution. Effective communication skills with internal and external contacts at all levels. Working knowledge of the Criminal Justice system and the ability to relate to officials at all levels of that system. Excellent interpersonal skills. Strong management skills. Problem solving ability. Change management skills. Analytical and reasoning abilities. Extensive travel required with frequent overnight stays. Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.
