This role is subject to a flexible hybrid work arrangement requiring a minimum of 1-2 pre-determined days per week in our mid-town office. SUMMARY The Director of Digital Strategy is responsible for developing and executing a unified, data-driven digital strategy that increases engagement across CRF's diverse audiences and maximizes the value of CRF's digital platforms and assets. This role directly oversees the Managing Editor of TCTMD, the digital operations team, the multimedia group, the website team, and all associated mobile and web-based applications. A core responsibility of this role is to identify and execute opportunities to monetize CRF's digital content and platforms and lead digital business development efforts. The Director will lead the integration and evolution of CRF’s websites, social media, web properties, and apps while driving innovation in digital content and delivery. This includes overseeing the development of editorial, video, and multimedia content for key programs such as TCT. The Director will work collaboratively across departments and with external vendors to ensure a seamless digital experience for CRF’s stakeholders, including physicians, patients, and industry partners. This position also plays a key role in piloting new digital products in response to emerging program needs, applying insights from analytics, audience behavior, and market trends. The Director will develop strategic roadmaps and guide the innovation process from concept to execution while maintaining a focus on measurable impact, user engagement, revenue generation, and platform usability enhancements. The Director will also manage the digital budget and oversee all vendor contracts related to digital platforms, content, and services. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Strategic Leadership & Innovation Develop and lead a comprehensive digital strategy aligned with CRF's goals, emphasizing engagement, monetization, and user experience. Lead innovation initiatives, from concept through pilot and implementation phases. Identify and implement new revenue-generating digital programs, sponsorship models, and business development opportunities. Analyze digital performance data and audience insights to guide platform and content strategies. Develop strategic roadmaps and guide concept-to-prototype innovation processes. Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate success of digital initiatives. Regularly communicate digital strategies and performance metrics to senior leadership and stakeholders. Platform Oversight & Optimization Oversee CRF’s entire digital ecosystem, including websites, TCTMD, mobile apps, social media, and other web properties. Support user-focused website and app development and optimization in collaboration with developers and designers. Ensure high-quality, accessible, and consistent digital content across all platforms. Continuously assess and enhance platform usability, navigation, and design.

Lead real-time response planning for digital crises, outages, or security incidents. Content Development & Delivery Direct the creation and delivery of editorial and multimedia content through internal teams and CRF Studio. Oversee digital content production through CRF Studio, including clinical and video content. Serve as the TCTMD content team lead for TCT Conference-related efforts. Ensure clinical content is accurate, compliant, and aligned with regulatory standards. Team Management & Cross-functional Collaboration Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to digital teams, including performance development. Coordinate with Marketing/Creative Services and CED to align messaging, design, and delivery. Collaborate cross-functionally to market CRF programs and ensure alignment with institutional goals. Facilitate training and onboarding for new team members. Budget, Vendor & Business Development Management Manage the digital budget and all related vendor contracts and partnerships. Monitor project delivery timelines and quality from vendors and external partners. Evaluate vendor performance and negotiate favorable contract terms. Develop monetization strategies and digital business models for CRF platforms. Identify and pursue new digital business partnerships and sponsorship opportunities. Ensure alignment with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA). Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or relevant certifications a plus. 7-8+ years in digital strategy, online content management, or digital product development. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and vendor relationships. Strong understanding of digital ecosystems, content platforms, UX, analytics, and monetization strategies. Demonstrated success in launching and scaling digital programs that drive engagement and revenue. Exceptional communication, leadership, and project management skills. Proficiency in CMS, SEO, CRM tools, and web analytics. Experience translating complex content into engaging digital formats. Background in medical communications or cardiology preferred. Experience managing digital product life cycles from concept through delivery, including user research, prototyping, testing, and iteration. Familiarity with accessibility standards and responsive design best practices. Demonstrated ability to align digital initiatives with organizational strategy and stakeholder priorities. Knowledge of ad tech, programmatic media, and digital monetization models. Experience managing mobile app strategy, development, and updates. Strong financial acumen in managing digital budgets and negotiating vendor contracts. Familiarity with data privacy laws, compliance, and ethical digital practices (e.g., GDPR, CCPA). The annual salary that will ultimately be offered to the successful candidate will depend on job-related knowledge, education, skills, and experience.
