Role Description We are excited to offer a unique opportunity to join our Legal & Compliance department. You will manage investment guidelines using PIMCO’s proprietary compliance system. The Guidelines Team interprets and implements client, regulatory, and internal guidelines into our compliance framework. As part of the Guideline Compliance team, you will gain exposure to the entire process, collaborating with teams across various levels including Legal & Compliance, Account Management, Product Strategy, and the Trade Floor. Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with Client Facing and Legal teams to negotiate investment discretions effectively. Interpret investment restrictions from regulatory and other sources to ensure compliance. Support the Trade Floor in making informed investment decisions. Create and implement rules within the compliance system to align with guidelines. Research and address inquiries related to investment guidelines, providing clarity and support. Participate in ad hoc projects focused on guideline interpretation and compliance improvements. Ideal Candidate Profile
Uphold honesty and integrity in all interactions. Quick learner, adaptable to new processes and concepts. Meticulous with strong attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Capable of managing multiple priorities efficiently. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or Economics (preferred). Experience in compliance or investment management. Basic to intermediate knowledge of global equity and fixed income markets, including financial products like bonds, equities, and derivatives. Proficiency in MS Excel. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with guidelines negotiation and implementation within compliance systems. Familiarity with the Investment Company Act of 1940 or similar regulations. Skills in Bloomberg, SQL, or Business Objects. CFA designation or active in the CFA program, or a JD/MBA degree. Compensation & Benefits Salary Range: $87,000 - $93,000. PIMCO offers a total compensation package including base salary and discretionary bonus, based on performance and market factors.
