Director, Projects – Renewable Energy Systems (RES) Transmission and Distribution (T&D)
is responsible for developing the power delivery construction business focusing on renewable energy. This leadership role oversees a large team, ensuring the safe operation of the RES T&D power delivery construction business. Key expertise includes substation construction, transmission and distribution overhead and underground power lines, solar, battery storage, and wind turbine power delivery systems. The role involves strategic review and development, budget management, building relationships with utilities and private clients, responding to RFPs, and directing project managers to deliver quality projects on time and within budget. The position requires travel and is hybrid, with 3 days in-office and 2 days remote weekly. Key Responsibilities
Review and approve annual business strategies and plans. Ensure resource availability and safety standards in project execution. Develop client relationships and lead bid responses. Supervise project delivery, ensuring safety, quality, and timeliness. Maintain schedules, processes, and safety protocols. Lead safety initiatives and ensure compliance with electrical safety standards (NFPA 70E, NESC). Leadership & Development
Foster an inclusive, innovative workplace culture. Manage direct reports, participate in hiring, and conduct performance reviews. Empower team members through development opportunities. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, civil engineering, or construction management, or equivalent experience. 10+ years in construction, with utility and transmission experience preferred. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 50% domestically. Proficiency in MS Office and Primavera P6. Compensation & Benefits Base salary: $170,000 - $212,000, plus bonus eligibility. Benefits start day one, including health insurance, 401(k), PTO, and more. Physical & Environmental Conditions Physical demands include climbing, lifting, standing, and repetitive motions.
