We are seeking a Journeyman Operations Analyst to join our team in a remote position in the National Capital Region. Please note this position is contingent upon vacancy, expected Spring 2025.
Responsibilities
Support operations analysis modeling and simulation for various government and commercial contracts.
Develop, train, and implement data analytics tools and processes (collection, integration, visualization, analysis).
Guide efforts to enhance software and analytic products, including developing concepts for technical solutions supporting rapid software development.
Perform analysis on current and projected operations to identify opportunities for performance improvement or cost reduction.
Design, develop, and apply decision analytics, mathematical and statistical techniques, modeling, and simulation to solve complex operational challenges.
Develop prototype models/simulations and modify existing analytic products.
Troubleshoot and resolve modeling issues, and identify tools respecting client data restrictions.
Participate in model and software development processes, supporting concept development, prototyping, testing, validation, and implementation.
Assess problems and select appropriate analytic methods such as Monte Carlo simulation, discrete event simulation, optimization, decision analysis, or statistical analysis.
Assist in developing assessment information, decision briefings, and analytical papers to inform leadership decisions.
Brief internal and external stakeholders effectively.
Model the ITA core values of Quality, Integrity, and Respect.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, or Management Science, with 3-10 years of relevant experience, or
Master's degree in the same fields with 1-3 years of relevant experience.
Proficiency in decision support tools in desktop/cloud environments.
Skilled in MS Excel with VBA, Power BI, and other MS Office tools.
Programming skills in Java, Python, VBA, C++, or C#.
Expertise in optimization and simulation analyses.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
