Job Description The Assurance Manager is responsible for supervising, directing, and reviewing audit results by delegating tasks throughout the planning, fieldwork, and wrap-up stages of an engagement. The role includes marketing, networking, business development, and ensuring engagement profitability through billings and collections. Responsibilities also involve advising clients on economic and regulatory risks, resolving complex accounting issues, applying GAAP and GAAS, writing technical memos, and documenting financial control systems. Job Duties
Control Environment:
Establishing effective policies, assessing internal controls, and supervising audit teams. GAAP & GAAS:
Applying accounting standards, consulting on new pronouncements, and preparing financial statements. SEC & PCAOB:
Ensuring compliance with regulations, reviewing filings, and internal controls. Research & Methodology:
Conducting research, applying standards, and ensuring quality assurance. Supervisory Responsibilities:
Managing staff, providing feedback, and coaching. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA license; 5+ years of audit experience; supervisory experience; industry expertise preferred. Additional Requirements
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and assurance tools. Strong communication, leadership, and client management skills. Compensation & Benefits Salary ranges vary by location, e.g., California: $120,000 - $140,000.
