Job Title: Technical Lead – Snowflake

Job ID: 2023-12286 Job Location: Alpharetta, GA or Berkeley Heights, NJ Job Travel Location(s): # Positions: 1 Employment Type: W2 Candidate Constraints: Duration: Long Term # of Layers: 0 Work Eligibility: All Work Authorizations are Permitted – No Visa Transfers Key Technology: Snowflake, MOVEit, Data Warehouse Job Responsibilities: Provide hands-on technical leadership to the agile project team tasked with migrating MOVEit jobs to Snowflake. Implement codified and repeatable migration patterns for different complexity jobs from MOVEit to Snowflake. Extract, transform, and load logic to automate data collection and manage data processes/pipelines including data quality and monitoring. Design and build the migration factory with codified scripts and common plugins to accelerate and automate migration of jobs. Perform problem analysis for migrating complex configurations from MOVEit to Snowflake. Perform complex installation, configuration, customization, and tuning. Provide input on technical questions and problems while adhering to standards and procedures. Assist in strategic planning, architecture, and design. Make recommendations on functional and business requirements. Skills and Experience Required: Required: 5+ years of Data Architecture/Data Warehousing experience. Expert knowledge of Snowflake with more than three (3) years of hands-on experience. Exposure to data warehousing and various ingestion patterns from multiple sources. Hands-on experience in Snowflake migration projects with a good understanding of Snowflake architecture and pipeline building for ingestion. Expertise in Snowflake data modeling, ELT using Snowpipe, stored procedures, and standard DWH and ETL concepts. Knowledge of Snowflake features like resource monitors, RBAC, virtual warehouses, query performance tuning, Zero Copy Clone, and Time Travel. Experience in data migration to Snowflake cloud data warehouse. Proficiency in SQL and SQL analytics. Knowledge of communication and data handling protocols (e.g., AS2, PGP/GPG, S/MIME, HTTPS, FTPS/SFTP/SCP/OFTP, POP3/SMTP, Web Services/SOAP/REST, WebDAV). Understanding of industry data standards (e.g., ACH, ANSI X12, EDIFACT, HIPAA, RosettaNet, SWIFT, TRADCOMS). Experience with .NET/Java frameworks and solutions. Experience with enterprise database technologies like Oracle RAC, DB2, MS SQL Server. Solid understanding of networking, firewalls, and security standards. Experience in the financial services industry is preferred. Education: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
