What Will I Do as a MIT?
Perform as Manager-on-Duty during scheduled shifts when the Store Ops Manager (GM) is not present. Supervise, train, and coach 2-5 team members engaged in cookie sales and customer deliveries. Lead onboarding and initial training for new hourly staff. Conduct initial interviews for potential new hires in the absence of the manager. Assist the Store Ops Manager with ordering, inventory control, and scheduling. Ensure staff adherence to Insomnia Cookies' standards (baking, uniform, policies). Drive upselling and ensure high customer service standards among team members. Desired Skills and Experience:
At least 1 year of supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail setting Experience conducting in-person interviews for hourly staff Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems Proficiency in MS Office, Word, and Applicant Tracking Systems Availability to work a 4-5 day week, including 1-2 mid-to-late shifts (Thurs-Sun) Must be 18+ and legally eligible to work in the U.S. About Us: Founded in a college dorm by Seth Berkowitz, Insomnia Cookies has grown into a cult brand known for its warm, delicious cookies delivered all day and late into the night.
