Brown and Caldwell, a leading national environmental engineering firm, seeks a senior-level Project Manager to lead projects for clients in Los Angeles, including MWD, LADWP, LABOE, LASAN, and LACPW. This role involves managing water and wastewater projects, providing solutions for complex issues, utility management, business development, capital planning, design, engineering, and overseeing construction phases.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be highly organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks within a diverse team environment.
Responsibilities:
Develop and manage project scope, schedule, budget, and negotiate agreements.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
Coordinate with clients, project teams, and discipline leaders to ensure project progress and quality.
Lead and motivate project teams to meet client needs and expectations.
Simplify complex topics for non-technical audiences and prepare summaries for stakeholders.
Lead change management and risk mitigation efforts.
Perform quality reviews of planning, engineering, administrative, and construction tasks.
Manage permitting and documentation processes.
Prioritize health and safety, ensuring compliance with safety programs.
Supervise and mentor team members.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering or related field; MS preferred.
At least 10 years of experience in municipal water/wastewater engineering.
Professional Engineer (PE) license in California or ability to obtain within 12 months.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Valid driver's license with a good record.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
PMP certification is a plus.
Proven experience managing large municipal projects.
Strong planning, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
Motivated self-starter with a results-oriented mindset.
Salary Range: $130,000 - $177,000, based on location, skills, experience, and education.
