Director of Global Supply Chain Management

The Director of Global Supply Chain Management is responsible for leading global procurement, planning, and sourcing strategies across a diverse international footprint. Reporting to the VP of Global Manufacturing Operations, this role will unify regional supply chains into a cohesive, standardized global function while driving cost efficiency, supplier diversification, and delivery excellence. This position requires direct experience managing supply chains for electrical and / or telecommunications products , with a strong understanding of industry-specific challenges, compliance requirements, and supplier landscapes. Key Responsibilities Lead global Purchasing and Planning teams to ensure uninterrupted product supply across all regions. Develop and execute a sourcing strategy that emphasizes supplier diversification beyond China, especially for electrical and telecom components. Negotiate global contracts with a focus on favorable terms, risk mitigation, and cost control. Integrate regional operations into a standardized global supply chain structure. Establish and track KPIs tied to inventory performance, supplier reliability, and delivery targets. Advance integrated Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) aligned with engineering, production, logistics, and commercial teams. Ensure compliance with NIST 800-161 and 800-53 standards, supporting federal business initiatives. Mentor and develop a high-performance team capable of executing global supply chain strategies. Modernize systems and processes, including forecasting tools, supplier portals, and ERP enhancements (SAP preferred). Qualifications 12–15 years of progressive supply chain experience, including global procurement and production planning. Proven background in electrical and / or telecommunications product supply chains Bachelor's or Master's in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, or related field. Preferred certifications : CSCP, CPSM, CPIM; Six Sigma Green or Black Belt. Strong global contract negotiation skills with an emphasis on supplier development and risk management. High proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred), data analysis, and Microsoft Office Suite. Demonstrated success in leading global teams and executing strategic initiatives. Outcome-Based Goals Achieve 90% second-source qualification by Q1 2026 for critical components. Compliance Alignment Ensure supply chain adherence to NIST standards by Q3 2025. Improve COTD to 95% and factory schedule attainment to 98% by early 2026. Cost & Inventory Optimization Target 3% annual cost savings; increase inventory turns and cut slow-moving stock by 20%.
