High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. CFM or related certification preferred. Certifications in boilers and HVAC systems preferred. Certified pool operator license required. Work Experience
At least 3 years of experience in janitorial methods and procedures for large multi-use facilities. Thorough knowledge of health and sanitation requirements, preferably using green/sustainable cleaning products and methods. Other Qualifications
Knowledge of OSHA standards and practices. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Attention to detail and strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Computer literate and effective communication skills in English. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Experience with multiple cleaning machines and devices. Maintain current pool operator certification (CPO). Physically capable of extensive walking, stair climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and operating equipment. Availability to work weekends and evenings. Valid driver’s license. Principal Functions Assist with overseeing daily facility operations at RJKCCC, with primary responsibility for the aquatics area, including all building and utility infrastructure, working with custodians, and overseeing Facilities & Custodial Lead. Duties and Responsibilities
Supervise Facilities & Custodial Lead. Provide input on work planning and assignments, including setup and cleanup of rentals and events. Oversee daily operations, inventory control, and monitor external areas. Monitor electrical and ventilation systems daily. Responsible for pool testing, maintenance, and operation. Identify and report repairs or projects needed for plumbing, electrical, windows, or structures. Supervise pool upkeep and coordinate with the Aquatics Manager on filtration and health codes. Develop and oversee preventative maintenance plans. Meet regularly with the Facilities Manager to prioritize repairs and upgrades. Assist with record-keeping, repair logs, and expenditure reports. Maintain facilities and grounds appearance and functionality. Maintain Salvation Army vehicles, including routine maintenance and inspections. Review security plans organization-wide periodically. Assist with daily departmental reports and equipment inspections. Ensure routine maintenance is performed. Assist with food pantry logistics as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.
