GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE: The Category Manager implements and manages suppliers and supply chain operations for specified categories. This role acts as the subject matter expert for the assigned category. The position will provide the highest level of customer service to internal customers and suppliers, ensuring Dole’s requirements for delivery, quality, cost, and safety are met, while maintaining Dole’s values throughout the supply base. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSITION: Strategic Sourcing & Savings: Understand category strategies, support sourcing roadmap, participate in RFP process, optimize total cost of ownership. Supplier Relationship Management: Build and manage supplier relationships, drive continuous improvement, assess and mitigate supply chain risks, manage daily supplier activities, execute category strategies. Category Execution and Business Support: Maintain contract management tools, oversee supplier communications, manage pricing and system data, place purchase orders, monitor rebates and pricing accuracy, support analytics and reporting, resolve service issues, participate in supplier reviews, support sustainability initiatives. Required Skills: 3+ years’ experience in procurement, buying, manufacturing replenishment, or project management. Experience with analysis, budgeting, forecasting, inventory management, and controls. Knowledge of logistics, production planning, and product pricing. Experience tracking KPIs and process improvement initiatives. Knowledge of procurement tools, ERP systems. Excellent communication, collaboration, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Project. Physical and Work Requirements: Sit for extended periods, lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. Work beyond normal hours, including weekends and holidays as needed. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Supply Chain preferred. APICS certification preferred. Salary Range:
