Compensation: up to $170,000 Director of Operations – 8285 Our client, a national distributor of specialized products, is seeking an experienced Director of Operations to lead and oversee the warehouse and transportation functions at their Long Island location. This role will involve directing overall operations, departmental operations, and site management to ensure efficiency, productivity, and quality in all aspects of distribution and logistics. Responsibilities Oversee all operations within the distribution center, including planning, inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping, and receiving to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products. Provide strategic leadership and direction for warehouse and transportation teams, fostering a culture of safety, excellence, and continuous improvement. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce costs across all operations. Develop and manage operational budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources while maintaining high service levels. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational effectiveness, productivity, and customer satisfaction. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies, promoting a safe working environment for all employees. Collaborate with other departments such as shipping, transportation, sales, customer service, and supply chain to align operations with overall business goals and customer needs. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field; MBA or equivalent experience preferred 5+ years of relevant experience Proven experience in a senior operations role within warehouse and transportation required Experiencemanaging a fleet of trucks Expertise with warehouse management systems, transportation management systems, Microsoft Excel Strong leadership skills with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams Strong understanding of budgeting and financial management Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across varying environments Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills About our Client National Distribution Center Additional Job Details Workplace Policy:Onsite About our Process We will notify you if you are selected as a candidate for this role.
