Senior Case Manager (Recovery Focus)

for the

Roberts Residences

program located at 1515 N Capitol St NE, Washington, DC 20002. Position Description:

This position provides clinical case management support to residents and provides guidance to assist residents to solve daily challenges and develop personally. Assists in the administration of program operations. Schedule:

Monday through Friday. Two days 10:00 am - 6:30 pm. Two days 9:00 am - 5:30 pm. One day 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. Qualifications Required:

Bachelor's Degree in Human Services field; 2 yrs. experience working with homeless or substance abuse and mental health issues; Experience working with individuals in recovery is a plus! Candidates with Social Work degrees must be licensed to practice. Required License/Certification: CPR and First Aid certification. Preferred:

Master's Degree in Human Services field; CACII, LGSW or LCPC by the District of Columbia Department of Health; 2+ yrs. experience working with the homeless or substance abuse and mental health issues; experience working with the elderly population, medically fragile, and people with disabilities. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required: Knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for motivational enhancement interviewing. Knowledge of training and facilitation. Ability to adjust one's actions in relation to others' actions. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and individualized services. This includes understanding residents' needs, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluating satisfaction. Knowledge of human behavior and performance. Ability to be sensitive to diverse backgrounds and set aside personal opinions and implicit biases. This includes their basic principles, values, ethics, ways of thinking, customs, practices, and their impact on human culture. Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar with the ability to write effective goal plans. Ability to educate and teach residents how to access and utilize community resources. Ability to perform and complete an accurate resident assessment and effectively document residents' progress toward goals. Ability to set professional boundaries. Provide ongoing case management and demonstrate a strong commitment to customer service. Community Development:

Assist the team with the development of educational groups and coordinate events for residents. Program Administration:
