Seeking a Project Director to implement and facilitate a recently awarded grant from the Department of Justice, Office on Violence Against Women (OVW). The Carthage Safe Culture Project (CSCP) aims to ensure a safe, welcoming environment for all students that reduces Dating Violence, Domestic Violence, Assault, and Stalking (DVDVSAS) incidents on campus and provides culturally sensitive, trauma-informed support for all victims of DVDVSAS.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations and coordinate all grant activities related to administering the OVW Campus Program grant.
Assist in creating and facilitating the work of the CCRT in collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure development and implementation of grant requirements and activities.
Create a strategic plan for the Carthage Safe Culture Project.
Serve as a point of contact to communicate between the campus and the Department of Justice, Office on Violence Against Women.
Ensure project deliverables are completed on time and meet grant requirements.
Develop DVDVSAS awareness and prevention training, including bystander intervention training.
Create resource materials for students, faculty, and staff, including + and BIPOC students, based on student information collected.
Implement social norming campaigns to reduce DVDVSAS stigma.
Collect and organize institutional data for bi-annual performance reports.
Participate in required training, webinars, and technical assistance sessions with OVW.
Manage administrative tasks such as grant updates, budget tracking, and other operational duties.
Adhere to federal and state laws and confidentiality guidelines.
Monitor compliance with grant conditions.
Participate actively in the Carthage community and contribute to campus life and student development.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, social sciences, social work, or related field; master's degree preferred.
At least five years of experience in assault prevention, victim advocacy, or related fields.
Ability to evaluate crisis situations effectively.
Understanding of prevention efforts and DVDVSAS dynamics in campus settings.
Experience in project and budget management and grant reporting.
Knowledge of Wisconsin and federal laws related to the Violence Against Women Act, Clery Act, and Title IX.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights and weekends.
Travel for mandated OVW trainings.
Proficiency with office technology, Microsoft Office, and Google applications.
Experience working with underrepresented/underserved populations.
Experience with Workday, EAB Navigate, and Microsoft Excel is highly valued.
