This is a hybrid role based out of our HQ office near Portland, Oregon. The expectation is for employees to be in-office 3 days or more per week, depending on business need. This in-office expectation is subject to change at business discretion.

About the Position The Senior Director, Apparel Merchandising, leads the global apparel business unit to achieve annual targets. Reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer, you will set KPIs focused on delivering results through merchandising strategies and provide global enterprise leadership across the marketplace.

You will engage with regional leadership throughout the Go-to-Market process and ensure your team of direct reports delivers high-level tools and assortment direction. Building strong partnerships with channel leaders will be key to influence, define, and implement segmentation strategies to maximize revenue and profitability.

How You’ll Make a Difference

Lead the long-term apparel merchandising strategic vision. Adapt this vision into seasonal objectives with clear goals and deliverables for regions. Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to align merchandising with product, commercial, and marketing objectives, including GM leadership.

Work with functional leadership to develop effective short and long-term strategies, streamlining processes, improving deliverables, and adjusting to consumer trends and market conditions.

Manage twice-yearly sales meetings, including product content and execution planning. Coordinate with Sales management on budgets, agendas, samples, and presentations. Deliver strategies for successful product launches.

Partner with Finance to manage margins and profitability for seasonal product lines, hitting seasonal targets. Lead workstreams with Finance, Global Product, Costing, and regional Merchandising teams to meet profitability goals.

Foster a results-oriented culture of accountability. Develop, coach, mentor, and track team performance. Encourage collaboration, personal development, excellence, and recognition within the Merchandising community.

You Are

Deeply knowledgeable about the apparel industry and merchandising.

Skilled at influencing and bringing stakeholders together.

A strategic thinker and problem solver.

A strong people leader.

You Have

10+ years of experience in apparel merchandising and team leadership.

Bachelor’s or master’s degree, applicable certification, or equivalent experience.

Ability to travel domestically or internationally up to 25% of the time.
