We believe in offering an engaging, inclusive and supportive work environment where each team member can thrive.
Your contribution!
Reporting to the Senior Director - Energy Storage and Green Hydrogen Development, you will develop and execute the company’s origination strategy and support the securing of offtake agreements for renewable and battery storage projects. This role provides strategic guidance to executive leadership and regional teams across key markets in the U.S. and potentially Canada. You will help shape market priorities and lead project commercialization by transforming technical solutions into tailored offtake offerings and executing energy contracts with customers.
Your day-to-day!

Learn and stay current with offtake structures. Direct financial modeling team in generating pricing, consistent with offtake deal structures.
Business Development & Client Management
Identify and develop new customers and market segments to originate contracts with target offtakers, including proposing creative energy products and solutions such as renewable 24/7 solutions (baseload). Lead and assist in the negotiation and execution of Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and other offtake contracts with utilities and large energy buyers. Establish, sustain and foster professional contacts to build, enhance, and connect networks for work purposes. Attend industry conferences to network with new and existing customers.
Internal Partners & Initiatives
Prepare RFP summaries to management and provide feedback to internal teams on where to develop projects or tailor offerings based on market signals. Work closely with internal teams – including project development, engineering, finance, legal, operations and communications – to structure commercially and technically viable deals, crafting compelling proposal language to best position projects to win competitive solicitations. Lead/assist in proposal coordination activities – compiling projects details, pricing scenarios, and other data from multiple functional areas across the company – to guide transactions through the internal approval process by preparing investment memoranda and presentations to senior management and the Investment Committee. Remain flexible, anticipate issues and opportunities, solve problems effectively, and be an effective team member. Responsible for the database of customers and prospects, as well as opportunities and proposals in Innergex’s CRM. Assist with the creation of ad-hoc reports and presentations.
Your skills, our requirements!
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 5-7 years of experience in the energy industry with a focus on business development, origination, or power marketing and comparable experience. Knowledge of the US Power market highly relevant, including nodal pricing and the impact of basis on hub-settled transactions. Able to demonstrate having had a key role in negotiating and executing a PPA for at least one currently operational project. Analytical, commercial minded, organized, collaborative, positive attitude, professional, confident, curious. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain partnerships and long-term client relationships. Strong strategic thinking and market analysis capabilities. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Have proficient understanding of relevant regulations, resource planning, transmission, congestion, renewable portfolio standards and forward energy curves and how they impact both mid and long-term energy products. Must be able to travel as needed.
