We are looking for a Director of Business Development to develop the US market. In this role, you will establish the BenLink network and develop the business together with Bühler and potentially other strategic OEM partners. The compensation range for this position is $130,000 - $140,000 with a 20% variable bonus.
This is where you'll excel
Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to drive growth and market share within the North America region. Identify new market opportunities, trends, and emerging technologies to stay ahead of the competition. Maintain strong relationships with regional OEM accounts. Ensure a balanced customer base across regions/countries. Lead and mentor a high-performing business development team, fostering collaboration, innovation, and excellence. Set clear performance goals, provide regular feedback, and align the team with organizational objectives. Build and nurture relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders to enhance market presence. Drive market entry strategies and oversee the execution of expansion plans within North America. Manage the sales pipeline systematically, focusing on lead generation, conversion, and customer retention. Collaborate with marketing to align efforts and maximize business impact. Define and monitor KPIs to measure business development success. Analyze data and market trends for strategic insights. Oversee service execution, manage risks, and ensure target margins are met. Manage internal operations, including opportunity transfer to orders and orders to cash. Develop and oversee the regional service network according to strategic needs. Maintain high quality standards with zero incidents. Coordinate with regional and cross-functional teams for unified global sales and marketing efforts. Foster effective communication within the organization.
These are the skills you'll need
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus. Proven experience as an Area Manager, Business Development Manager, Director of Business Management, or similar, with success in expanding business in North America. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical service environment, preferably in food industry, mechanical engineering, machine building, or related fields. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships at all levels. Strategic thinker capable of translating vision into actionable plans. Proficiency in forecasting, reporting, and KPI development. Experience managing sales pipelines and Key Account Management initiatives. Willingness to travel across North America. Language skills: English required; additional languages are a plus.
