Overview The Business Intelligence Analyst understands, interprets, and analyzes data quickly, and is responsible for delivering high quality and timely reports to all business units across the credit union. As part of the Financial Planning & Analysis department, the Business Intelligence Analyst will help design, develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive suite of business intelligence tools to inform and support key business decisions related to the Credit Union's financials and operations. Using database technologies, this position is responsible for identifying and translating business needs and requirements into useful and actionable information. The Business Intelligence Analyst will clearly communicate report findings and provide data that assists business units in making informed decisions. The position will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of enterprise reporting solutions using modern standardized tools. Responsibilities Business Intelligence / Enterprise Reporting / Analysis

Build reports and dashboards for executive management and business users throughout the Credit Union using primarily Power BI and other reporting tools as needed. Query the internal Data Warehouse to extract data for analysis using SQL, integrate other data sources and tools as needed. Translate and document results of requirements gathering into a standard format used to create the appropriate Business Intelligence (BI) solution. Coordinate user acceptance testing of reporting modules, analyze test results, and correct problems. Lead in the collection of system/business requirements and the documentation of business and technical data dictionaries/metadata and specifications. Serve as an information resource for users, including determination of most appropriate data source, providing or arranging applications, reports, or educating users to retrieve the information themselves. Perform ongoing monitoring and refinement of reports. Interpret results using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation via statistical analysis to complex data mining and predictive analytics.

Design / Database Development

Focus on data quality and integrity, which results in increased confidence from end users. Identify and recommend methods to normalize and maintain data from disparate systems. Work with internal and external data users to identify requirements and deliver high quality BI solutions. Coordinate data strategy and governance, supporting a new data warehouse with BI tools. Develop and establish data quality standards and data governance protocols. Provide security, integrity, and validity to all credit union data and all BI reports.

Qualifications EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Entry Level: Bachelor’s Degree required. 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Credit union or financial institution experience preferred. Intermediate Level: Bachelor’s Degree required. 5-7 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Credit union or financial institution experience preferred. Senior Level: Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Credit union or financial institution experience highly required. • 3+ years of direct experience in dashboard and report writing using Power BI required. • Demonstrated experience using data to drive business decisions. • Advanced analytical skills and attention to detail and accuracy. • Strategic, intellectually curious thinker with a focus on outcomes. • Experience writing SQL, Transactional SQL (Stored Procedures, Triggers, and Functions) required. • Must be capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously and evaluate/prioritize as necessary. • Experience using Databricks is highly preferred. • Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Dax Programming for Power BI, CSharp.net preferred. • Experience in a financial institution is highly preferred. • Ability to work in a collaborative environment and establish relationships with team members, department managers, executive management, and key stakeholders. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
