Purpose The Lead Analyst, Contract Management will be part of the Commercial Contract Management organization and is responsible for driving flawless implementation of contracts and pricing strategies throughout the contract continuum from developing paper through contract load and maintenance, providing effective and efficient contract review and negotiation for commercial contracts. The Lead Analyst will be the expert on handling RFP/RFI submissions, contract authoring, implementation, and maintenance. Responsibilities include coordinating workflow, identifying gaps, recommending solutions, and sharing best practices. The role involves review and redlines of contract terms in close coordination with Legal, Offer Development, Finance, and Sales. It works closely with various teams to ensure effective offering and efficient administration through contracting systems, integrating people, processes, systems, and policies.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with Account Management and Offer Development teams to support contracting needs for top customer segments.
Manage negotiations of contract terms and conditions as directed.
Support workload management and prioritization.
Draft, review, and negotiate contract terms; participate in customer calls.
Facilitate internal approvals and resolve complex issues, escalating legal or factual disputes as needed.
Build relationships with Legal, Compliance, and Sales teams.
Design and implement systems and controls to track contracting processes.
Communicate and collaborate with internal partners, providing mentorship and training.
Ensure compliance with policies, proper risk allocation, and business needs.
Support pricing activities, including implementation of price changes and maintenance.
Generate contract price files, maintain IDN rosters, and draft amendments.
Maintain contract templates and SOPs in contracting systems.
Respond to audit requests and maintain documentation.
Other projects as assigned.
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related; MBA preferred.
At least 4 years of experience in Contracting & Pricing within J&J or related fields.
Location flexibility: Raritan, NJ; Raynham, MA; West Chester, PA; Warsaw, IN; Cincinnati, OH; Irvine, CA.
Strong organizational, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to draft complex contracts, review for conformity, and assess risks.
Leadership skills and ability to influence across functions.
Proficiency in MS Word, including track changes.
Preferred:
Experience in a matrix organization and with JJMT systems.
Knowledge of Orthopedics business and strategies.
