Director of Manufacturing
will oversee production schedules aligned with management and client requirements. Responsibilities include managing manpower, adhering to budgets, and maintaining order and cohesion amid workload fluctuations, especially with new project integrations. The ideal candidate will possess
exceptional multi-program/project management skills
and be a strong communicator with team-building, organizational, supervisory, and interpersonal skills.
Candidate Requirements
Proven success in high-technology product manufacturing environments.
Experience as an innovative technical manager in a small industrial equipment manufacturing setting.
Successful implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
Ability to understand customer needs and develop tailored solutions with trust and respect.
Capability to integrate emerging technologies into organizational processes and lead manufacturing advancements.
Responsibilities
Lead manufacturing strategy, planning, and operations, including overseeing Production Managers, Quality, Engineering, EH&S, Logistics, and Supply Chain.
Implement safety, regulatory, quality, and cost-control programs across manufacturing processes.
Adopt and optimize process designs and technologies for efficiency.
Forecast and allocate resources—facilities, equipment, materials, workforce—to meet business goals.
Cultivate organizational culture to achieve strategic objectives.
Design and maintain an organizational structure supporting current and future strategies.
Lead change management initiatives, fostering diversity, employee development, and technological proficiency.
Establish cross-training and skills development programs for production and support teams.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering (ABET accredited).
8+ years of supervisory/management experience in manufacturing and warehousing.
Proficiency in MRP, ERP, inventory management, MS Office, PowerPoint.
U.S. Citizen.
